Saya Kamitani Wins NJPW Strong Women’s Title at September 17th Stardom Event

Saturday’s Stardom in Korakuen 2025 event for Stardom at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan featured Saya Kamitani defeating AZM to become the new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.

This match was a Title vs. Title Winner Takes All that also featured Kamitani’s World of Stardom Championship also being on the line.

Following the match, Momo Watanabe came out to the ring and confronted Kamitani. Watanabe issued a challenge for Kamitani to put both of her titles on the line for their match at Stardom’s November 3rd event, which Kamitani agreed.

This was Kamitani’s first ever NJPW Strong Women’s Championship victory in her Stardom and NJPW careers.


TNA Moves TNA Knockouts Tag Titles Match from Victory Road 2025 to November 2nd TNA Impact! Show

As noted before, Friday’s TNA Victory Road 2025 event at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada featured Ash By Elegance relinquishing her TNA Knockouts World Championship and announcing she was stepping away from in-ring wrestling.

Following Ash’s announcement, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella made two announcements regarding the Knockouts division.

One of these announcement was that the previously scheduled TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match between The IInspiration (Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) and The Elegance Brand (M & Heather By Elegance) has been moved and will now taking place on next week’s Impact! show on October 2nd.

This upcoming match will be taped on Saturday, September 27th as part of TNA’s new set of Impact! tapings in Edmonton.

Stardom recently streamed Saturday’s Stardom in Korakuen 2025 event in Tokyo, Japan for free on their official YouTube channel.

Friday’s Noche de Campeones 2025 event for CMLL at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured KeMalito defeating Tengu to become the new CMLL World Microestrellas Champion.

Friday’s CMLL Noche de Campeones 2025 event in Mexico City also featured Stardom talent Maika making a surprise appearance. During the show, Maika came out to the ring and gave the CMLL Mexican National Women’s Championship to India Sioux and gave some props to her. This was Maika’s first appearance in wrestling since this past May due to her taking a leave of abscense due to an injury.

CMLL reportedly drew an attendance of over 16,000 for their Sept. 19th 92nd Anniversaro event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City and around 16,000 for their Sept. 25th Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre CMLL x Pokémon Legends: Z-A event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Major League Wrestling recently announced that CMLL commentator Julio Cesar Rivera will be making an appearance for the company at their Slaughterhouse 2025 event on October 4th in Long Beach, California.

Beyond Wrestling recently announced that Eddie Kingston will be making an appearance for the company at their Novembercanrana event on November 14th in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Game Changer Wrestling recently announced that Maki Itoh will be making four appearances for the company this November. It was announced that Itoh will be appearing at their November 7th event in Hartford, Connecticut, their Massacre in Mane event on November 8th in Yarmouth, Maine, their Green Mountains And Me event on November 9th in Barre, Vermont, and their Dream On event on November 22nd in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

As noted before, former WWE wrestler Mike “Duke The Dumpster” Droese was arrested this past May in Warren County, Tennessee on charges of attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of children. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a court hearing is currently scheduled to take place on October 22nd in Warren County, Tennessee. Johnson reported that this upcoming hearing is listed as a “plea or trial selection.” Johnson reported that this means if Droese and the prosecution do not come to terms on a plea deal, then the trial will be scheduled at this hearing. Johnson also reported that a press release was issued by Chris Stanford, District Attorney General, 31st Judicial District in Tennessee dated this past May regarding Droese’s arrest.

TNA Wrestling reportedly is currently planning to hold upcoming Impact! tapings this October in Orlando, Florida, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer reported that the reason for the location is as part of the current TNA vs. NXT invasion storyline between TNA and WWE. Meltzer also reported that TNA officials are currently looking for a place to do their television tapings regularly that would cost less than what they are doing now.
