As noted before, Santos Escobar’s contract with WWE expired as of midnight on Tuesday and his profile had been moved to WWE’s alumni section on their official website.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Escobar and WWE recently came to terms for a new contract.
Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that WWE management considered Escobar’s creative concerns and gave him a sizeably larger offer than any of their previous offers to him. Escobar reportedly agreed to the terms and the current belief is that the agreement for the new deal came late Tuesday.
Johnson reported that it is currently not known when Escobar will be back on the road again for WWE.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources confirmed Johnson’s report and stated that Escobar received a very big monetary amount and a lot of perks for his new contract.
