As noted before, Chris Bey has been out of action for TNA Wrestling since October of 2024 due to a broken neck injury and surgery.
A recent episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast featured Bey as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Bey providing an update on his recovery stating that he is now able to live an independent life where he can do things on his own.
“I’m completely independent where I can dress myself, I can feed myself. One of the things that I struggled with last was my grip strength as far as opening things. I couldn’t really open bottles and stuff. And I still have trouble depending on the type of bottle, opening things. But I can drive myself now. I can pretty much do everything that I need to do, you know, on the day-to-day basis.”
Bey also gave his thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and the potential of him ever wrestling another match.
“I truly look at it like, I’m going to let time tell me. And I’m going to let my body tell me. I think when I think about wrestling, it’s not so much about going back to wrestling and getting back in wrestling as much as it is at least finishing my story my way, whether that means one more match or one more program, whatever it is.”
Bey also stated that he wants to eventually focus on having a family one day.
Bey also gave his thoughts about him being open to contributing in other roles in wrestling like producing or even doing something on-screen like commentary work. Bey also stated that he has talked with TNA about potentially shadowing other agents when he’s able to.
