WWE and TNA Wrestling have been in an official working partnership for over the past year. This working relationship has involved TNA talents making appearances on WWE’s NXT shows and NXT talents making appearances on TNA’s shows. Several TNA talents have also made appearances on WWE’s main roster shows and PLEs while AJ Styles has been the only WWE main roster talent who has appeared on a TNA show.
The nature of WWE and TNA’s working relationship has resulted in rumors and speculation about if WWE has been getting access to TNA and former WWE talents at a discount rate for their shows. TNA was recently revealed to be getting access to NXT talents for free for their shows.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that TNA talents that appear in NXT are paid by WWE per appearance and based on their involvement. It was reported that TNA talents who are brought in but not used are paid the lowest rate while those who actually wrestle at NXT shows get a higher rate. It was also reported that the highest pay amount is reserved for TNA talents that wrestle in the main event on NXT shows.
It was reported that NXT talents spoken to stated that they did not receive additional pay for their appearances on TNA shows. It was also reported that this was something they have yet to confirm from their sources if this has been the case in all instances of NXT talents used on TNA shows.
