Thunder Rosa has been absent from AEW since this past July’s All In Texas event in Arlington, Texas. Rosa was later revealed to have suffered an undisclosed injury during the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match at the event for the reason for her abscense.
Midnight Movie Trash held a recent interview with Rosa. One of the topics discussed included Rosa confirming that she has been recovering from some undisclosed injuries and currently expected to be able to make her in-ring return “fairly soon.”
“I’m actually going to be part of the mega procession of Catrinas, which is in Mexico City in Reforma. There’s like 3 million people (that) are going to be part of this thing and I’m one of the people that are being, you know, pulling the flag in the front. So I’m really excited as a Catrina myself. It’s been, it’s been a journey and having to celebrate my culture in America and now I have to celebrate my culture in Mexico. That’s really fun. I’m also doing a lot of work with the NFL and the Texans that’s been a lot of fun and right now I’m just focusing on continuing my rehab for the injuries that I just had a couple months ago and I have really good news. Everything’s going really well so I’m expecting to return to the ring fairly soon.”
