New AEW National Title Officially Announced

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Bayou Music Center in Houston, Texas featured the official announcement of a new championship belt called the AEW National Championship.

This announcement was initially made prior to the start of the show.

In a follow-up announcement, Tony Schiavone was seen in the ring and stated that the inaugural champion will be crowned in a Casino Gauntlet match that will be making place at Full Gear 2025. Schiavone also announced that the Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are two of the official entrants in this upcoming match.

After the Hurt Syndicate came out to talk about Lashley and Benjamin being in the Casino Gauntlet match and MVP proclaiming that the belt will be coming to them, The Demand’s music played and Ricochet & Gates of Agony came out to the stage. Ricochet proceeded to unleash a barrage of insults directed at Texas folk and Dallas Cowboys and the Hurt Syndicate, he officially declared himself as an entrant for the match. Ricochet continued calming that he will be the one walking out as the inaugural champion.


Men’s & Women’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Series Results

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured two Men’s and one Women’s Advantage Battle matches for the Men’s and Women’s Blood & Guts matches.

In regards to the Men’s Advantage Battle matches, the first was Claudio Castagnoli defeating Orange Cassidy.

The second was Darby Allin defeating Daniel Garcia.

As a result of the Men’s Advantage Battle matches being split at one win each per team, Roderick Strong vs. Jon Moxley will now be taking place and the winner to earn the man advantage for the team in the Men’s Blood & Guts match.

In regards to the Women’s Advantage Battle match, this was Megan Bayne defeating Mina Shirakawa.

As a result of Bayne’s victory, her team currently is up one to zero and needs just one more victory to secure the woman advantage for the Women’s Blood & Guts match.


Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher for TNT Title with Special Stip Set for Full Gear 2025

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one new match announced for the card of Full Gear 2025, which takes place on November 22nd at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

This new match announced was an AEW TNT Championship Anything Goes match of Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher (c). This match also features the stipulation of if Briscoe loses, then he must join the Don Callis Family.

This new match was initially setup over recent months shows over the bad blood issues between Briscoe and Fletcher & Don Callis Family. During tonight’s show, Briscoe, Fletcher, and Don Callis were seen backstage for an interview and Briscoe issuing a challenge for another shot at the TNT title in an Anything Goes match. Fletcher and Callis responded being interested in the offer and upped the stakes of if Briscoe lost, then he must join the Don Callis Family. Briscoe responded agreeing to the terms.

Babes of Wrath Advances in AEW Women’s Tag Titles Tournament

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one First Round match for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament.

This match was Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) defeating Mercedes Mone & Athena.

As a result of their victory, Babes of Wrath will be facing off against Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue & Julia Hart) in a Semifinal Round match in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship.
