Lash Legend Main Roster Status Update
As noted before, this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Greenville, South Carolina featured NXT talent Lash Legend making a surprise appearance. Legend had interfered during the singles match between Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair to help Jax win the match and revealed a new alliance between the two.
In a recent update to WWE’s official roster page, Legend’s profile was moved over to the SmackDown brand making her main roster call-up official.
Backstage Update on Jesse Ventura’s Abscense from November 1st WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Show
WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on November 1st in Salt Lake City, Utah was notable for WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura’s abscense from the show. Ventura had appeared in all of the prior SNME shows since the series revival in December of 2024.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason why WWE did not bring back Ventura for their Saturday Night’s Main Event show earlier this month was not known as of the time of his report this past Friday.
Meltzer reported that Ventura was believed to be under a one-year contract with WWE for their SNME shows and it would have expired with their last SNME show but this is something that has yet to be confirmed by his sources. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Ventura’s commentary being critical of booking of the Steel Cage match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre at the May 5th SNME caused the “die was cast as far as using him going forward.”
Fightful Select reported that their sources provided some additional details and stated that the reason for Jesse Ventura’s abscense from the show was due to multiple issues.
These issues reportedly including WWE officials not being happy over his commentary during the Steel Cage match. Another reason reportedly was WWE officials had also planned for Hulk Hogan to be involved in the show prior to his passing this past July and that played a role in Ventura not being scheduled for the show.
