Update:
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported on Bluesky that his sources stated that TNA officials are trying to work an angle around Santana and the unhappiness from fans over the ending to last night’s live Impact! show.
Sapp reported that TNA officials are currently claiming that Santana is not at the tapings and they have not heard from him as part of this worked storyline angle.
As noted before, Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida featured Frankie Kazarian successfully cashing in his co-owned Call Your Shot trophy and defeating Mike Santana to become the new TNA World Champion. This show was notable for being the first TNA regular show held since this past October’s Bound For Glory 2025 event following the company being on hiatus for the past month.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Santana is not in attendance backstage for tonight’s Turning Point 2025 event as of 2PM EST.
Johnson reported that call time for talent for the show was 1PM EST. Santana reportedly also did not appear for his scheduled fan meet and greet after Thursday’s show.
Johnson also reported that the current word going around TNA talents is that Santana has not returned the company’s calls or texts.
Santana is currently scheduled to compete in a tag team match with Steve Maclin against Kazarian & Nic Nemeth at tonight’s Turning Point 2025 event.
