AJ Lee Makes Surprise Return, Maxxine Dupri Wins WWE Women’s IC Title

Monday’s WWE RAW show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York featured AJ Lee making a surprise return appearance.

Near the end of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match between Maxxine Dupri and Becky Lynch, Lynch got into a confrontation with referee Jessika Carr. Lynch then attacked Dupri and tossed her out of the ring and yelled at the referee to count. As the referee was distracted, Lynch started to take off a turnbuckle pad only for her to get distracted when Lee’s music played and she pranced her way out to the rampway.

This gave enough time for Dupri to recover and hit a top rope crossbody to Lynch for the pinfall victory to become the new champion. Dupri celebrated with Lee at ringside as a shocked Lynch looked on.

This was Lee’s first appearance since this past September’s Wrestlepalooza event.

This was Dupri’s first ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship victory and first ever championship victory in her WWE career.

Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns Makes Surprise Returns

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns making surprise returns.

During the show, The Vision (Paul Heyman, “Big” Bronson Reed, & Bron Breakker), Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre came out to the ring for the Men’s WarGames face off segment. They were followed by CM Punk, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), and Cody Rhodes who all stood at ringside before getting into the ring and a mass brawl breaking out between the two teams.

This led to Lesnar’s music playing and him coming out to the ring. Lesnar attacked Punk and Rhodes clearing the ring of the two. Lesnar revealed that he was the mystery fifth member that Heyman has teased about earlier in the show for The Vision’s WarGames team.

This then led to Reigns’ music playing and came out to the ring to confront Lesnar. After a tense staredown, the two brawled that resulted in Reigns hitting a Superman Punch to send Lesnar out of the ring.

Security then rushed out trying to break up the brawls to no avail leading to Reed attacking Reigns in the ring. As the mass brawl went on, New York City cops showed up as reinforcements and attempted to put a stop to the brawl also to no avail. Reigns then hit a spear to Reed and several cops through a barricade as the show went to a close.
