Nikki Bella Comments on Current WWE Run Will Be Her “Last & Final”
Entertainment Tonight held a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. One of the topics discussed included Bella’s thoughts about how it is different being in the ring without her sister Brie Bella alongside her and her current run in WWE will be the “last and final” run of her wrestling career.
“It’s hard,” Nikki replied when asked how it is different being in the ring without Brie Bella alongside her. “I mean, it’s always amazing and I’ve had my solo runs so, I think, especially when you’re an identical twin, you’re used to doing so many things together. It’s empowering when you have to do things on your own. But, I know that however long this run is — a year, two years — it will be my last and final, and you know, in our industry you never wanna say never but, I’m just being realistic. But, I started with her and I wanna end with her. I know everyone wants it and I think it would be really cool for the fans and as well for this new era, and especially when you turn me heel. I mean, I’m only super bad when I got sidekicks. It’s hard, and I hope I at least get to end it with her. I mean, two bad b*tches are way better than one.”
The CW on Frustration with NXT Ratings Drops Caused By Nielsen’s New “Big Panel + Data” Ratings System
Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston recently released a new article detailing the negative issues that Nielsen’s new “Big Panel + Data” ratings measurement system has caused towards the viewership and ratings for wrestling television shows since the debut of the new ratings system.
In an official statement to Wrestlenomics’, a spokesperson from The CW gave their frustrations with Nielsen’s new ratings measurement system and questioned the credibility of the data Nielsen has been releasing for it.
“We’ve expressed to Nielsen our deep frustration with the way it handled the process, communication, and methodology behind its Big Data rollout.
The sudden and substantial discrepancy in WWE NXT viewership reported by Big Data, relative to long-established viewing patterns, is inexplicable and lacks credibility. Further, a comparison with data from all other measurement products (including others from Nielsen itself) exposes a fundamentally flawed methodology in Big Data. We are disappointed by Nielsen’s lack of cooperation, transparency, and accountability with its network partners as we work to resolve this issue.”
