Kenny Omega Comments on Importance of AJ Style on Formation of The Elite & AEW

CBS Sports held a recent interview with Kenny Omega. One of the topics discussed included Omega’s thoughts about the importance AJ Styles had on the formation of The Elite and later AEW following the storyline angle where he turned on Styles and became the new leader of the Bullet Club in NJPW.

“AJ, having a keen sense of what’s best for business, knew exactly how to go along with it. In a way, by his turning his back and allowing for that moment to happen, whether he knows it or not, that led to the forming of The Elite.

Ultimately, it kind of led to AEW. Him being involved in our lives is very pivotal for [AEW] and our careers.”

The Young Bucks Comment on Wanting Chris Jericho To Stay in AEW

As noted before, Chris Jericho’s contract with AEW is currently set to expire by the end of 2025 and he has been absent from the company since this past April. During his time away, Jericho had reached out to WWE about a potential return to the company once his contract with AEW expires.

Adam’s Apple held a recent interview with The Young Bucks’ Matt & Nick Jackson. One of the topics discussed included the Young Bucks thoughts about Jericho’s abscense and wanting him to stay in AEW.

Nick Jackson – “He’s a founding father. so of course we want him to stay.”

Matt Jackson – “I love Chris Jericho.”

Nick – “We’re not sure where he’s at head space-wise right now. I know he’s, like, on a break. And he’s trying to figure it out on his own. And sometimes you gotta let a wrestler like that figure it out on his own.”

Thunder Rosa Comments on “Given The Circumstances Right Now, I Can’t Be In The Ring”

As noted before, Thunder Rosa has been out of action for AEW since this past July’s All In Texas event due to undisclosed injuries.

A recent episode of the Masks Mats & Mayhem podcast featured Rosa as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rosa’s thoughts about the potential of her re-uniting on-screen with “Timeless” Toni Storm in the near future and her recovery from her undisclosed injuries.

“Unfortunately, it’s not up to me. I just work there. I just come, show up, say thank you very much. I’m happy to be here and when I go back and wrestle, that’s what you do. I would have loved to but, given the circumstances right now, I can’t be in the ring. So, people have to move on and that’s what happened… And for me right now, my health is super important for the rest of my career.”

Rosa also gave her thoughts that she is currently preparing herself to get back in the ring and how 2026 will be a big year for her in regards to her personal goals.

“And I’m preparing myself to get back in the ring, which is important. I think this year, 2026, is gonna be extremely important. I have to stay healthy for big opportunities to come in the future. What do they look like? I don’t know yet. But for sure, my Master’s degree is coming, that’s for sure, and some music is coming, and a documentary is coming. So, there’s a lot of stuff that we’re working on…”
