CM Punk on Who Would Be Perfect Opponent for John Cena’s Retirement Match
A recent episode of the Up & Adams with Kay Adams podcast featured current WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Punk’s thoughts about who he believes would be the perfect opponent for John Cena’s retirement match at next month’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Washington D.C.
“Well, perfect probably would have been me.”
Punk also gave his thoughts about who would be the perfect choice out of everyone remaining in WWE’s The Last Time Is Now tournament to determine Cena’s final opponent.
“I don’t know if it’s perfect but it’s looking like Gunther because I’ve been in the ring with him and I know what he can do, and I don’t know who else in that tournament can beat him right now.”

Chelsea Green Comments on Her “Pestering” WWE Playing Big Role for Matt Cardona’s WWE Return
Unlikely’s Adrian Hernandez held a recent interview with current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Chelsea Green. One of the topics discussed included Green’s thoughts about how she and her husband Matt Cardona only found out about the plans for Cardona’s WWE return at the November 14th WWE SmackDown show at the very last moment.
“We didn’t really know what was happening until the very last moment. You know how WWE is, you know how professional wrestling is. It can be in talks for months or it can be in talks for 24 hours. Either way, when they call you, you pick up the phone and get on a plane.”
Green also gave her thoughts about how Cardona has been in constant contact with WWE since his departure in 2019 and how he always makes sure to let WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque know that he is available for appearances.
“He’s been in contact with WWE constantly. The whole five years he’s been in contact with WWE. He’s always making sure that Triple H knows what he’s doing or that he’s available for a Rumble and things like that.“
Green also gave her thoughts about how her pestering efforts, John Cena’s pestering efforts, and Cardona’s pestering efforts played a big role for Cardona’s recent return appearance.
“I just think it was a perfect storm of this made the most sense because he does have a personal friendship and relationship with John Cena, so why wouldn’t he want to be John Cena’s final opponent? It worked perfectly between me pestering WWE, between John Cena pestering WWE, and Matt pestering WWE, they caved.”

Aleister Black Comments on Reason Why He Didn’t Make WWE Return at WrestleMania 41
WrestleRant held a recent interview with Aleister Black. One of the topics discussed included Black’s thoughts about the reason why he did not make his official return to WWE at this past April’s WrestleMania 41 event.
“They were toying with a bunch of ideas (for his return). I know at one point there was a conversation about ‘Maybe he’s coming back to wrestle Randy Orton at WrestleMania’, and that was an actual thing that was discussed.
It was counter-argued quickly because they were like, ‘Well, we don’t want him to lose coming back at WrestleMania. That doesn’t make any sense.’
They felt that they wanted to give it the right attention, they wanted it to be, you know, specifically about me, which I’m very grateful for. And what happened happened and I really enjoyed it. It was a great night. It’s the same night that my wife, obviously, won her first singles title. Very unique few days. It was a very good memory. Very special.”
