WWE recently released a new video on their official YouTube channel featuring Dominik Mysterio. One of the topics discussed included Mysterio’s thoughts about his praise of his wife for encouraging him to pursue a pro wrestling career when he didn’t want to at the time.
“I was around 260 pounds, just lost. My wife now, girlfriend at the time, she knew it, and I told her there was this opportunity, ‘I might go train in Tampa for six months, but I don’t really want to do it. I don’t want to leave.’ I just remember crying, bawling up She looked at me and went, ‘You have to go. You gotta do this.”

In a recent interview with the Doubl3 Coverage podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair gave his thoughts about his issues with WWE creative’s booking of Randy Orton in recent times and his belief that Orton is the best male worker in the company right now. Flair stated “Randy Orton, I mean, he’s third generation. Randy is the best male worker in the company right now. They don’t utilize him the way I would if I was booker, but I’m not. So, he can still work his a** off. But, he’s making a lot of money. He’s doing good. He’s happy. And that’s all that matters.” (Transcript h/t: F4WOnline.com)
In a recent episode of the Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard podcast, co-host and WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard gave his thoughts about how there was a pitch for Hulk Hogan to turn heel and face off against Dusty Rhodes at WrestleMania 9 in 1993 and the idea being dropped because Vince McMahon did not want to turn Hogan heel. Prichard stated “About Hulk (Hogan) turning heel? Oh God, yes. It never got far. It never got far at all. Because Vince (McMahon) didn’t like it. Vince did not want to turn Hulk heel, held Hulk in the highest of esteem, and felt that the audience would turn on us as a company if we had Hulk Hogan be a bad guy… Pat (Patterson) and I throughout the years pitched different ways to turn Hulk heel. I know Hulk wanted to turn heel. There was a pitch going into WrestleMania 9 and it was debatable who would be the heel of having Dusty (Rhodes) back and do, ‘… Me and Hulk Hogan, who is the best?…’ Before Hulk left. This was a pitch to, hey, don’t go away and on your sabbatical. What if we did this? And it was kind of like the battle of the legends. The battle of the two megastars. The two biggest heroes. Dusty being from WCW and obviously Hulk being from WWE, and it was a story of Dusty, ‘We ain’t never touch, baby. I just wanna touch you one time. That you can feel The Dream…’ Dusty and Hulk both felt each one of them should be heel — felt that they would be the heel in that scenario, which I loved. I’m talking huge pie in the sky. What I thought would be a pitch that could hook Hulk into going — I knew he always wanted to work with Dusty, I knew he loved Dusty and I thought, okay, if I can get him to buy into this, how we get there is we get there with Dustin (Rhodes). He does the heavy lifting, and yeah, it just didn’t work. It just didn’t do it…” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
