Ring of Honor has been in talks for a potential new television deal for some time. ROH owner Tony Khan had stated during this past August’s Death Before Dishonor 2025’s post-show media scrum that he has had offers for a potential new TV deal but has not accepted them due to any deal must make sense within AEW’s current partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. Besides not wanting to go against AEW’s partnership with WBD, Khan is also currently seeking a specific unknown amount of money for any potential new deal.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that WBD had offered Khan a new television deal for ROH but Khan had turned it down due to it did not meet Khan’s asking price. This reportedly left ROH without a traditional television home as a result afterwards.
In regards to Khan’s asking price, Sapp reported that while WBD had a TV deal in mind for ROH, no broadcaster has been willing to meet the price Khan is currently asking for a deal for ROH programming. Sapp also reported that WBD filled the available slot they had offered to Khan by adding a replay of AEW Dynamite to TruTV on Fridays at 10PM EST. This reportedly would have been the timeslot for ROH TV had Khan accepted the offer.
Sapp speculated that major networks are unlikely to make any “real” offers for a new TV deal until the ROH product receives a stronger creative focus for weekly shows.
