Maxxine Durpi Comments on “My Goal Is To Continue To Elevate The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title”
Abe Kanan held a recent interview with WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri. One of the topics discussed included Dupri’s thoughts about her main goal for her WWE Women’s Intercontinental title reign.
“You know, I think I have two thoughts on this. My first thought is that I do believe that Becky Lynch took this title and Lyra Valkyria took this title and elevated it and made it big time, and that is my goal is to continue to elevate this title. I want this title to be special for the women. With that being said, I know I have a lot of growth to do. So with every match, I want to keep getting to a place where I am just absolutely dominating and I’m a killer in the ring. I think with that, we’ll bring the next steps. But right now, my focus is making sure that this title is a big-time title.”
Dupri also gave her thoughts about her having “goosebumps” thinking about defending her title at next year’s WrestleMania 42 event.
“I have goosebumps thinking about it. I literally- and on the West Coast, anything on the West Coast, I feel like I’m home. Put me anywhere in the West Coast, and I’m like, this is basically Loomis. I would be over the moon. I’m so excited to be going back to Las Vegas. Just the sports and entertainment capital, really and we’re bringing the greatest sports entertainment show for two nights. We’re going to have so many watch parties, after parties. We have WWE World. There’s so much going on.”
