JC Mateo’s WWE Contract Length Update

JC Mateo, former Jeff Cobb in New Japan Pro Wrestling and the indies, made his official WWE debut at this past May’s Backlash 2025 event and was revealed as the newest member of Solo Sikoa’s group at the time.

Fightful Select reported that their sources within WWE stated that Mateo had signed a three year contract with the company.

Those spoken to reportedly also stated that Mateo’s contract currently runs through Spring of 2028.

Oba Femi on His NXT Title Victory & Upcoming Match Against Cody Rhodes at Dec. 13th WWE SNME Show

As noted before, this past Saturday’s WWE NXT Deadline 2025 event in San Antonio, Texas featured Oba Femi defeating Ricky Saints to become the new NXT Champion. This match was also notable for the winner getting to face Cody Rhodes in an exhibition match at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show on December 13th in Washington, D.C.

Following the show, WWE released a digital exclusive backstage video featuring Femi reflecting about him becoming the NXT Champion again and his upcoming match against Rhodes at this Saturday’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

“The biggest factor is change. Change came knocking at the door of Ricky Saints tonight, and it asked for his title, and he had no choice but to relinquish, because change always wins. When change met the dinosaurs, he sent the meteor. When change met man in the Old Testament, he sent the flood, and when change comes to the main roster, asking for Cody Rhodes, he will send The Ruler, The Destroyer, the Bringer of War, Oba Femi!”

Vince McMahon Sex Trafficking Lawsuit Update – Dr. Carlon Colker Files Motion Asking Court To Seal Hundreds of Documents Related to Janel Grant’s Medical Records

As noted before, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in January of 2024 against former WWE/TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards her during her time in the company. Grant filed a new amended lawsuit this past February detailing new evidence and claims against McMahon, WWE, and others. Grant had also a filed petition against a WWE Wellness doctor named Carlon Colker and his clinic in July of 2024 for medical records related to her lawsuit, which was court ordered to be released this past August.

SEScoops’ B.J. Bethel reported that Colker had filed a motion on December 1st before the Connecticut Superior Court asking for the court to seal hundreds of documents for Grant’s bill of discovery against him and his Peak Wellness clinic.

Bethel reported that around 700 pages of documents containing medical records and receipts belonging to Grant were requested to be court sealed.

Grant’s attorneys reportedly alleged that Colker and his clinic have refused to provide her medial records and receipted for treatment she underwent that have been requested during her discovery phase of her lawsuit against McMahon.

Bethel reported that at one point, Colker’s attorneys had added Grant’s medical records to the case docket when Colker had filed a defamation lawsuit against her attorney Ann Callis. Those records were unsealed and not redacted at the time but were later taken down by the court.

In her lawsuit, Grant alleged that Colker had treated her without informing her of what pharmaceuticals and treatments he was using. Grant also claimed that McMahon had paid for all of her treatments up until she was fired from WWE. Grant also claimed that a Peak Wellness employee and McMahon had assaulted her while at the clinic. A previous court filing by Colker’s attorneys had revealed that this employee no longer works at the clinic. This former employee reportedly is not named in the bill of discovery suit or the federal suit filed by Grant.

Bethel reported that the next hearing for Grant’s case is currently scheduled to take place on Monday, December 8th.
