First Look Trailer for Street Fighter Film Featuring Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, & Hirooki Goto Released

Thursday’s 2025 The Game Awards event in Los Angeles, California featured the official first look trailer released for the upcoming new live action Street Fighter film.

This upcoming film features WWE’s Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns and NJPW’s Hirooki Goto among the film’s cast.

Rhodes portrays the role of Guile, Reigns portrays the role of Akuma, and Goto portrays the role of E. Honda in the film.

ROH Announces ROH Global Wars UK 2025 for Dec. 18th ROH TV Show

Ring of Honor announced that next week’s ROH TV show on December 18th on HonorClub will be a Global Wars United Kingdom 2025 special.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Friday’s NJPW World Tag League 2025 event in Satsumasendai, Japan featured Yota Tsuji & Gabe Kidd defeated Knockout Brothers (OSKAR & Yuto-Ice) in a Semifinal Round match. As a result of their victory, Tsuji & Kidd will be facing off against TMDK (Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.) in the Finals of this year’s World Tag League 2025 tournament.

Thursday’s TNA Impact! show featured Matt Cardona suffering an arm “injury” at the hands of WWE NXT talents Lexis King and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo during his match against King. In a follow-up segment, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that he would be replacing Cardona for Team TNA for the Steel Cage match against Team NXT at next week’s show on December 18th.

TNA announced three new matches for the card of next week’s TNA Impact! show on December 18th on AXS TV and Sportsnet 360:

Major League Wrestling recently announced that KUSHIDA is the next official competitor for next year’s Battle Riot match at their Battle Riot VIII event on January 29, 2026 in Kissimmee, Florida.

WrestleCon recently announced that Indi Hartwell and WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon Las Vegas convention on April 16-19, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame recently announced that Nic Nemeth, Rodney Mack, and Jazz will be inducted into their Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class. It was announced that Mack and Jazz will be the recipients of next year’s Verne Gagne Trainer award.

AEW CEO and Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan recently reflected on Twitter about this past Wednesday being the third anniversary of his last time being with the late Jay Briscoe and his praise of Briscoe’s legacy in and outside of the ring. Khan stated “3 years ago tonight was the last time that I saw my friend, the late great Jamin Pugh, aka Jay Briscoe. He was an incredible wrestler in the ring + an incredible man out of the ring, and he’s missed every day by his countless friends and his amazing family! RIP Jamin.“
