Callum Newman Issues 10-Man Tag Match Challenge To David Finlay for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20

As noted before, Sunday’s NJPW World Tag League 2025 Finals event in Mashiki, Japan featured David Finlay issuing a challenge to Callum Newman and United Empire for a match at Wrestle Kingdom 20, which takes place on January 4m 2026 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

Following the show, NJPW posted a post-match backstage press conference featuring Newman and Great-O-Khan talking about their match against Finlay and Hiromu Takahashi that ended in a disqualification on the show. Newman accepted Finlay’s challenge for a match at Wrestle Kingdom 20 and issued his own challenge for it to be a 10-Man Tag Team match. Newman also stated that HENARE would be returning from injury for United Empire’s team for this match.

Andrade Wins WWC Universal Title at 12/13 WWC Event

Saturday’s Lockout event for World Wrestling Council at the Cancha Pepín Cestero in Bayamón, Puerto Rico featured Andrade defeating Xavant to become the new WWC Universal Champion.

This was Andrade’s first match in the indies since this past October and his first match for WWC since his departure from WWE this past September.

GHC Tag Titles Match Announced for NOAH The New Year 2026

Pro Wrestling NOAH announced one new match for the card of The New Year 2026, which takes place on January 1, 2026 at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan.

This new match announced was a GHC Tag Team Championship match of Los Tranquilos de Japon (BUSHI & mystery partner) vs. Naomichi Marufuji & Kenoh (c).
