WWE Reportedly Working on New John Cena Documentary

As noted before, this past Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Washington, D.C. featured Gunther defeating John Cena in Cena’s retirement match. Prior to his retirement match, Cena held a retirement tour throughout this past year in WWE.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE is currently working on a new documentary based on Cena.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that there were documentary crews present for a production of a new documentary based on Cena’s retirement tour this year.

It was reported that this upcoming new documentary is currently expected to be released in mid-2026. This upcoming new documentary is also currently expected to be released on Peacock.

WWE Reportedly Set for New Crossover with Stranger Things

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that a new promotional crossover between WWE and Netflix’s television series Stranger Things is expected to take place soon.

No other details were given regarding the nature of this new upcoming crossover promotion nor when it will exactly be taking place.

WWE previously released a parody version of Stranger Things involving Rhea Ripley portraying the character Eleven in an advertisement for WWE’s WrestleMania 39 “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood” promotional campaign.

Netflix’s Stranger Things series is currently in the middle of its final season with the second volume (episodes 5-7) to be released on Christmas Day and the two-hour season finale to take place on New Year’s Eve.

Piper Niven Neck Injury Status Update

As noted before, Piper Niven has been out of action for WWE since this past August due to a undisclosed injury that is currently believed to be a neck injury.

Figthful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that while there was initial a great deal of concern for Niven and the future of her in-ring wrestling career, those spoken to close to Niven stated that they did not think the injury would permanently end her career.
