— By seizing the RAW Money in the Bank briefcase last night at Money in the Bank, Alberto Del Rio earned the contract within allowing him a WWE Championship Match anytime during the next year.

Following CM Punk’s title victory over John Cena, Vince McMahon called Del Rio to cash in on the fatigued new champion. Punk, however, socked Del Rio and fled the arena. Del Rio’s title shot remains intact because the bell never rang.

As noted late last night, Daniel Bryan captured the briefcase in the opening match to win SmackDown’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. He can now cash in the briefcase for a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity for up to one year.
