AJ Lee Pays Tribute To Her & CM Punk’s Late Dog Larry
As noted before, CM Punk AJ Lee’s pet dog Larry passed away this past December.
Lee posted a tribute to Larry earlier today on Instagram and thanked everyone who has donated to PAWS Chicago in Larry’s memory and also advocated for people to adopt a rescue dog like Larry was for their family.
“Thank you all who donated to animal rescue org @pawschicago in Larry’s memory.
Over a decade ago our Larry Talbot was surrendered there for doing the most. Multiple fosters gave up on him, one stating on record “I cannot allow this chaos in my home any longer”. A professional trainer called him “a lost cause”. He survived abuse and abandonment and was just misunderstood. We knew he was perfect for us. He snuggled on his terms, like a prickly cat. He stole entire pizzas and donuts off countertops and swallowed them whole like a snake. One time a little abuela saw him on the street, clutched her chest, and yelled “El Chupacabra!” He helped get me out of the deepest depressive cycles and was the center of my happiest days. He went from discarded underdog to having his face plastered across billboards, the United Center, ASPCA campaigns, Rolling Stone, and had more action figures, merchandise, and fan art than most pro athletes. In his golden years, he grew the long beard of a wise wizard and became velcro, permanently attached to my lap. It was the greatest honor to become his emotional support after he spent so long being mine. I just know he’s now with my other furry angels Mugsy and Nacho, causing absolute f-ing mayhem.
I am not okay, half my heart is gone. I get really quiet and private during the hard stuff but I wanted to come on here and say, if you need a best friend who will make every day brighter, who will save your life right back, please adopt don’t shop. Rescue dogs are a special kind of magic.”

The Miz Comments on “Winning Matters In WWE, Especially If You’re A Babyface”
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured The Miz as the guest. One of the topics discussed included The Miz’s thoughts about his attempts at a babyface run over the years in WWE and why wins do matter in WWE especially for babyface stars.
“My character doesn’t really work as a babyface, if I’m being honest. It’s a person that can lose, and then the next day, you’ll forget about that loss, because I’ll just cut a promo and just make you believe. But with the babyface, babyfaces can’t really lose a lot. If a babyface loses too much, you lose [appeal]. Everyone always says winning doesn’t matter, winning doesn’t matter. It matters. It really does matter. Especially if you’re a babyface, because in my opinion, if you’re a babyface and I’m a kid out there, my kids always ask me, ‘Did you win? Did you win? Did you win?’ I always have to go, ‘Ah, daddy didn’t win this week. But you know, I’ll get him next week.’ You can only say that so many times to a kid where they’re just like, I want a winner. I want a winner. I want to cheer a winner. People like winners, people like first place, they don’t like second place, they don’t like third place. They want the guy, their guy, and they want their guy to win, so if he doesn’t win… So that’s why I feel like my character, I’m so good at losing and then making you forget about that loss, and then making you believe the next day that I can beat the biggest superstar in the world. I could lose to whoever. Guy comes up from NXT, Je’Von Evans, and beats me. The next day, I can be in the main event. I can go up against John Cena, not anymore, but I go up against your biggest superstar, and I can make you believe I can beat that person, and you will believe that I will beat that person. But as a babyface, it’s a little tougher. It’s been weird these past couple of years, though. I would say this past year has been weird.”
