Six-Man Ladder Match for Vacant NXT Title Announced for Feb. 3rd Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured NXT GM Ava addressing the future of the NXT Championship that was vacated by Oba Femi at last week’s NXT New Year’s Evil 2026 show.

During the show, the vacant title was seen in the ring under a spotlight. Ava walked up to the belt and grabbed it and talked about Femu vacating the title and how she sees this as an opportunity because the division is now wide open. As Ava was talking, the men’s locker room surrounded the ring.

This led to Ricky Saints’ music playing to interrupt and made his way to the ring. After some words by Saints taking credit for causing Femi, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans to leave NXT, Saints stated he is ready to become the new champion and demanded for Ava to hand him the belt. This led to Ava responding refusing to do such thing and announced that a new champion will be crowned in a Six-Man Ladder match on the February 3rd NXT show. Ava also stated that qualifiers for this match will start next week.

Ava then left with the title resulting in a mass brawl breaking out both in and out of the ring that ended with Saints and Keanu Carver being the only two remaining standing on their feet.

In a follow-up segment, Saints revealed in a backstage interview segment that he had a talk with Ava about his rematch clause and was officially placed in the Ladder match for the title.

Jaida Parker Makes Surprise Return

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Jaida Parker making her surprise return to NXT.

During the show, Blake Monroe came out to the ring and talked about how last week, she came out with every intention of reclaiming her NXT Women’s North American championship and her attack on Hail. Monroe then talked about how it was a travesty she had to wrestle for her title and how they turned it into controversey and chaos. Monroe then boasted about herself saying that when you are as talented as she is, they don’t know what to do with you. After some more words, Monroe stated that she is the standard and she is the most complete woman in NXT. Monroe continued stating that no one compared to her and she is the moment and every move she makes is monumental.

After some more words boasting about herself and insulting the rest of the NXT Women’s division, Parker’s music played to interrupt and she came out to the ring.
