Triple H Comments on Him Coming Up with Idea for Seth Rollins Knee Injury Angle & Keeping Rollins Work Injury Secret
As noted before, Seth Rollins was involved in a worked knee injury angle at this past July’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show that was designed to fool both fans and people within WWE into thinking it was a real injury. This was also designed to keep Rollins’ surprise return from his “injury”and cash-in moment at this past August’s SummerSlam 2025 a surprise from everyone except for a select very few people within WWE as well.
The second season of the WWE: Unreal docuseries was released earlier today on Netflix. One of the topics in this new season featured WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque discussing Rollins’ injury angle and how he came up with the idea for it and went as far as to not even tell referee Jessika Carr that Rollins’ injury was a work.
“I wanna smarten you up to something that nobody knows. But I want you to not repeat it to anybody. But, you’re our guy. You need to know what’s going on here. We’re gonna do an angle tonight where Seth (Rollins) blows his knee out in his match with L.A. Knight. We’re kayfabing this like a motherf*cker, so I don’t want you to mention this to anybody because everybody will feel like, well, Hunter told everybody… The only people that really know: Me, Bruce (Prichard), Ed (Koskey), Bobby Roode, Seth and LA. (Paul) Heyman knows because he was there when I came up with it. Right now, that’s it. I don’t know what move they’re gonna do yet but it’ll be something towards the end of the match where he blows his knee out and L.A. sets up for the next thing but Seth ain’t there. He’s down, goes to Jess (Carr), Jess gives the X, medical comes out. Legit goes to him. He’ll call an audible, which Jess will go tell L.A. Knight. Did the referee need to know? No.”

Matt Cardona WWE Contract Update
As noted before, Matt Cardona made his official return to WWE earlier this month.
Cardona’s status with WWE was recently speculated online to be potentially already over following his profile being discovered this morning to have been moved to WWE’s Alumini page on their official website.
