Taz Makes Commentary Return
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida featured Taz making his return to AEW’s Dynamite commentary team.
At the start of the show, Excalibur welcomed everyone to the show and Taz’s return to commentary.

This was Taz’s first appearance in AEW since this past October due to total shoulder replacement surgery.
Alec Price & Jordan Oliver Make Official AEW In-Ring Debut
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured recently signed indies talents Alec Price and Jordan Oliver making their official in-ring debut for their AEW careers.
Price & Oliver competed in a tag team match against FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) on the show, which was won by FTR.

Thekla Accepts Kris Statlander’s AEW Women’s World Title Challenge
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, & Thekla) responding to AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander’s match challenge.
During the show, Triangle of Madness were seen backstage. Thekla talked about their recent issues with Statlander and the Babes of Wrath. Thekla brought up how she pinned Statlander last week and accepted Statlander’s challenge and stated that she gets her shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at next week’s show. Blue and Hart then talked about the Babes of Wrath and Hart issued a challenge to Willow Nightingale for her TBS Championship.

In a follow-up segment, Statlander and Babes of Wrath were seen backstage and responded to Triangle of Madness’ comments earlier. Statlander accepted Thekla’s request to put her AEW Women’s World title on the line and Nightingale accepted Hart’s challenge for her TBS title. It was announced afterwards that these matches were made official for this week’s Collision and next week’s Dynamite shows.

Current Card For Next Week’s Show
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured three new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on January 28th at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Cedar Park, Texas.
In regards to the new matches, the previously scheduled TNT Championship match of El Clon vs. Mark Briscoe (c) was moved from this Saturday’s AEW Collision show to next week’s Dynamite show due to weather related issues causing AEW to cancel their plans to hold this week’s Collision show live.
The new matches announced were:
- AEW Women’s World Championship – Thekla vs. Kris Statlander (c)
- AEW TNT Championship – El Clon vs. Mark Briscoe (c)
