Joe Tessitore Misses Show Due To Travel Issues

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, Canada featured Stephanie McMahon announcing that Joe Tessitore was not at the show due to travel-related issues over him being stuck in an airport in Detroit, Michigan due to the current serious winter weather impacting the United States.

Stephanie Vaquer Makes Surprise Injury Return & Gets Physical

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show also featured WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer making her surprise return from injury.

During the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match between Judgement Day (Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez) and Rhiyo (Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY), SKY hit an Over The Moonsault to Perez while Ripley stood nearby the referee who went for a pinfall count. This was interrupted by Raquel Rodriguez running out and grabbed Ripley yanking her down right onto the referee to stop the pinfall count. Rodriguez attacked Ripley and then went after SKY attacking her ask well leading to Vaquer’s music playing and her running out to save Ripley & SKY. Vaquer attacked Rodriguez leading to a brawl between the two as they made their way to the back.

Vaquer had been out of action for WWE since earlier this month due to an ankle injury.

Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre for Undisputed WWE Title Set for Royal Rumble 2026

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show also featured one newly updated match announced for the card of Royal Rumble 2026, which takes place on January 31st at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This newly updated match was an Undisputed WWE Championship match of Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre (c).

This newly updated match was setup following Zayn defeating Damian Priest, Trick Williams, and Randy Orton in a #1 Contender Fatal Four-way match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
