Braun Strowman Provides Update on His Hospitalization for Knee Infection
As noted before, former WWE talent Braun Strowman has been hospitalized since this past Monday due to an infection in his knee.
Strowman provided an update on Wednesday on Instagram thanking everyone for the support they have shown him and he’s still waiting for the results from his medical tests to determine exactly what he is dealing with for his knee infection.
“Alright, I just wanted to take a second to come on here and say thank you everybody that’s been reaching out and all the well wishes on my post about this infection. I’m going on day two in here, still plummed up to IVs, waiting on cultures to come back to find out exactly what it is. Pain’s pretty bad, but, we’re still breathing, we’re still kicking. God’s got me and I trust him and everything’s gonna be okay so, it’s gonna take a little bit to get over this hump but, y’all know me. Nothing keeps ‘The Monster’ down so, again, thank you for all the well wishes and thoughts and prayers and everything and everybody reaching out. It doesn’t go unnoticed. I love all of y’all very much. Thank you.”

In a recent interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Killer Kross, former Karrion Kross in WWE, gave his thoughts about the creative freedom he has for his wrestling career outside of WWE. Kross stated “With the realities of television formatting, sometimes people are placed into positions with a very low ceiling to succeed. If you’re trapped in that position long enough … the casual fan may think certain performers don’t have anything more to give. That’s very soul-crushing. So I have to remind them that there’s still that guy in there. To be where I’m at right now, to have the freedom to perform the way they didn’t even know I could, is really important.“
In a recent interview with ENCOUNT, Marigold talent Mayu Iwatani gave her thoughts about the reasons why she stayed an extra year with Stardom instead of leaving for Marigold in 2024. Iwatani stated “I agonized over it. Staying would have been the safer choice, but I also had this desire to go… I wrestled with it endlessly. But then there was ‘The Runaway Wrestler’ (a film about Iwatani’s life). I thought, if I transferred now and this movie fell apart, it wouldn’t just affect me – it would cause trouble for everyone involved. So I decided to stay for a year, for the film and for STARDOM. Also, if I lost the IWGP Women’s Championship, I would have felt like I had done everything I could in STARDOM… I think there are wrestlers who aim for the IWGP, but in my case, the IWGP came after I had conquered everything, so I felt that I had a place in STARDOM because I had that belt.” Iwatani also gave her thoughts about how she had originally felt there was no benefit in leaving Stardom for Marigold and how her time in Marigold has not been anything she had been concerned about for her wrestling career. Iwatani stated ““Honestly, there was no real benefit to leaving (STARDOM) (laughs). I thought to myself, Did I make a stupid choice? And felt anxious, wondering if I was heading into some crazy place. But once I actually joined (Marigold), it wasn’t like that at all. It’s nothing but rewarding. As for making mistakes in techniques, I make mistakes myself, and I think it’s important to know how to recover afterwards, and my honest impression was that, surprisingly, everyone can do that. I thought, ‘Everyone’s got this.’”
