CM Punk Comments on He Doesn’t “Really Differentiate’ Between WWE WrestleMania Nights For Headlining WrestleMania
A recent episode of the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams show featured WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Punk’s thoughts about how he does not really differentiate between WrestleMania nights for headlining a WrestleMania event.
“This is often debated. I think WrestleMania is so big, and I think our roster is so deep, it’s hard to spotlight all the talented people who deserve those spots. To me, two nights, it’s better than one. I don’t really differentiate between night one and night two.
I look at it like a Lollapalooza or what’s another huge [music] festival? They’re multiple nights, you’ve got a headliner every single night, you know what I mean? Lucky for us, you get to wake up again and do it the next day. Last year, night one afforded me the ability to be completely stress free night two and I got to be a fan and I got to sit and watch the show, so I loved that. I absolutely loved it.”
Punk headlined WrestleMania 41 Night 1 event with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and is currently expected to headline this April’s WrestleMania 42 Night 2 event with Reigns.

Cody Rhodes Comments on House Show Pitch He Made to WWE
A recent episode of the What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes podcast featured Jey Uso as the guest. One of the topics discussed included host Cody Rhodes giving his thoughts about a pitch he made to WWE to bring back one house show loop per month for their live events touring schedule.
“I had suggested some of the top brass in the company for a myriad of reasons: camaraderie, the reps, the general sense of working here. It’s hard to think you work somewhere if you’re only there a couple of days a week, right? Versus the schedule for when we first started, where it was full tours, live events, then you come to TV, and then you’re home less time…
I had suggested to them, I said: run one weekend a month, call them house shows, make them almost — poke the fourth wall a little bit in terms of what they are. They’re canon, but they’re not. You’re going to see some of the stuff you see on TV, but it’s going to be a bit more of a mixed bag. And maybe you’re going to see some people you’ve never seen before who are getting their first rep in front of you. Run them that way where there’s an intimacy to them that’s advertised. ‘This is a house show. That’s what you guys are getting, and it’s going to be awesome.’ They’re so fun, so fun.”

Ricochet Comments on “WWE Kills Legacies & Love Of The Sport, Its What They Do Best”
A recent episode of the 101.5 K Dawn’s The Mark Hoke Show featured former WWE talent and current AEW National Champion Ricochet as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ricochet’s thoughts about recent comments he made to a fan on Twitter that was critical of his time in WWE and how he was a watered down and completely different version of himself compared to his time in the indies and AEW.
“The Ricochet that I am now is the same Ricochet that I was on the independent scene and New Japan, and doing the things that got me popular to where I am today. When I was part of NXT, I was doing specific things. There was an image that got posted, it was me, Johnny, Tommaso, and Aleister. All four of us, ‘Coming to Raw.’ What should be the biggest promotion in our industry, turned out, specifically for Ricochet’s story, at that time, Thanos snap and there was a five-year blip. That’s how I put Ricochet’s wrestling career. Those five years were like being blipped away to a different universe. It just wasn’t me. Coming back to AEW and finding that love was like when Tony Stark finally defeated Thanos and all the people came back. Ricochet finally came back to what he was doing. I already know how this is going to sound and how people will take this, but the day we got called to Raw was the worst thing that happened to Ricochet’s wrestling career. Despite meeting my wife there, making friends, making memories, having a crazy platform, all the positive stuff, specifically for Ricochet’s wrestling career, that’s where it got blipped. What I was doing and the trajectory I was on, compared to the trajectory that I got for those five years, and how it completely changed the public’s image for Ricochet and who Ricochet was. I really think those five years, specifically the wrestling side of it, that five years really tarnished Ricochet’s wrestling legacy.”
Following the interview, Ricochet responded to the online criticisms on Twitter about his negative comments about WWE stating:
“They took my love of pro wrestling away. I’ll never forget how I felt walking into work every week. And that platform was only to make other look good at my expense. And I told them, I’d rather quit and go back to the indies and make whatever I’d make there than to come back next week.
And because of that THEN they made me IC and didn’t grant me my release.”
