Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon featured AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. making a surprise appearance.
El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. was revealed to be the mystery opponent for Carmelo Hayes’ Open Challenge match for his WWE United States Championship on the show.

Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss Wins Shot at WWE Women’s Tag Titles
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss defeating Kiana James & Giulia in a #1 Contender match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

As a result of their victories, Flair & Bliss will be facing off against The Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend & Nia Jax) for the WWE Women’s Championship at a future show.
R-Truth & Damian Priest Wins Shot at WWE Tag Titles
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured R-Truth & Damian Priest defeating Los Garza (Angelo & Berto), The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy), Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom), and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) in a #1 Contender Tag Team Turmoil match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
This match was held under Gauntlet style and the order of eliminations were MCMG, Fraxiom, Wyatt Sicks, and Los Garza.

Danhausen Appears & Curses The Miz
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Danhausen making a surprise appearance.
During the show, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was seen walking backstage and got startled by someone off-screen. This was revealed to be Danhausen who showed Aldis a paper with his list of demands now that he is in WWE that includes him wanting a mentor, Aldis responded saying that it is not really his job for that. Aldis walked away and quickly found The Miz. After some words by The Miz, Aldis told him that he has someone for him to mentor who is a brand new WWE superstar. This led to Danhausen walking up and The Miz rejecting Aldis’ offer to be Danhausen’s mentor. After Aldis walked away, Miz told Danhausen he won’t mentor him. Danhausen responded telling The Miz if he doesn’t, he will be cursed. Danhausen continued reminding The Miz what happened to Dominik Mysterio on RAW on Monday. This led to Miz giving panicked look but when he turned around, Danhausen was nowhere to be seen.
