AJ Styles Reveals His Current Role with WWE Post-In-Ring Wrestling Career

As noted before, the February 23rd WWE RAW show in Atlanta, Georgia featured AJ Styles’ officially confirming his retirement from his in-rjng wrestling career and the official announcement of Styles being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame as part of this year’s class. Styles had stated in an interview with the Talk N’Shop podcast this past February that he is still going to be working for WWE in some capacity after his in-ring retirement.

A recent episode of the Phenomenally Retro podcast featured co-host Styles giving his thoughts about his current behind-the-scenes role in WWE.

“I’m on the internet and I’m checking out talent because it’s kind of going to be part of my job with WWE now. I’m looking for talent and I’m looking to see what I can do, if I can do anything for them. If they can get better. Little things like that. If there is a possibility of them getting a WWE ID or something, then hopefully I can facilitate and get that to happen. As of right now, it’s a little slow, but there are phone calls that are going to have to be made to make sure my job is done and it’s not just with indie talent. It’ll be NXT talent and it may mean main roster talent as well. I’m gonna go to Seattle for Raw and talk to talent. Who knows. Sometimes, you need to talk to somebody to see how they’re feeling and maybe they want to go down to the PC and work on some stuff. I’m that guy. That’s what I’m there for. The morale, if I can help make sure it’s still there in a good way, I want to be that guy. There are a lot of things I’m going to be doing. As things come up, it’ll change, I’m sure the job will. As of right now, that’s kind of what I’m doing.”
