Rey Fenix Appears & Teases Lucha Bros Reunion, Penta Says He Will Defend WWE IC Title in AAA

Saturday’s AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 event at the Auditorio GNP Seguros in Puebla, Mexico featured Rey Fenix making a surprise appearance and teasing a future reunion of the Lucha Bros.

At the start of the event, Fenix came out and gave a speech to the crowd before introducing his brother and current WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta. This led to Penta coming out and talked about how his shoulder injury in late 2025 prevented him and Fenix from being able to reunite together in the ring at this past December’s AAA Guerra de Titanes 2025 event.

Penta and Fenix then teased them reuniting as the Lucha Bros in the future and also teased that it would happen at this year’s Triplemania show or when AAA returns to Puebla. Penta stated that he will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship in AAA and anyone can step up to challenge him.

Bayley Answers AAA Reina de Reinas Title Open Challenge Match

Saturday’s AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 event also featured Bayley making a surprise appearance.

Bayley was revealed to be the mystery opponent for the Open Challenge match for Flammer’s Reina de Reinas Championship.

This match was won by Flammer after getting some outside help from fellow Las Toxicas members La Hiedra and Lady Maravilla.

El Grande Americano Wins Reys de Reyes 2026 Tournament

Saturday’s AAA Reys de Reyes 2026 event also featured El Grande Americano defeating Santos Escobar, La Parka, and Original El Grande Americano in a Four-way match for the Finals of this year’s Rey de Reyes tournament.

Near the end of the match, Escobar attempted to use a chair on La Parka only for a mystery masked person wearing Escobar’s old mask showing up and took the chair away. This led to Americano hitting a headbutt to La Parka laying him out and then did the same to Escobar for the pinfall victory to become the winner of this year’s Rey de Reyes tournament.

This was El Grande Americano’s first ever Rey de Reyes tournament victory in his AAA career.

Dominik Mysterio Retains AAA Mega Title

Saturday’s AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 event also featured Dominik Mysterio defeating El Hijo del Vikingo to retain the AAA Mega Championship.

This match featured the stipulations of if Mysterio lost, then he must leave Lucha Libre AAA while if Vikingo lost, then he could never challenge for the title again as long as Mysterio was champion.

Current Card for AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 Week 2

Saturday’s AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 Week 1 event also featured two matches announced for the card of next week’s Week 2 event on March 21st on FOX Latin America and WWE and AAA’s YouTube channels.

This upcoming show will be taped on March 14th at the Auditorio GNP Seguros in Puebla, Mexico.

This upcoming show was also taped as part of AAA’s Rey de Reyes Week 1 show at the same venue.
