Will Ospreay vs. Jon Moxley for AEW Continental Title Set for Dynasty 2026

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show featured one newly updated match announced for the card of Dynasty 2026.

This newly updated match announced was an AEW Continental Championship match of Will Ospreay vs. Jon Moxley (c).

This newly updated match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Ospreay’s bad blood issues with Moxley and the Death Riders. Following Moxley defeating Anthony Bowens in an Eliminator match for his AEW Continental Championship, Ospreay ran out and attacked Moxley. As Ospreay left the ring to grab a chair, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta ran out from the crowd and grabbed Moxley pulling him out of the ring and to safety as Ospreay charged at them with a chair. Moxley and the Death Riders proceeded to leave through teh crowd only to be stopped by Ospreay who grabbed a microphone and told Moxley they should up the stakes for their match and have him put his Continental title on the line.

It was announced that this newly updated match was made official for Dynasty.


The Hurt Syndicate Makes Surprise Return & Says They Looking For New Members

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Shelton Benjamin, & Bobby Lashley) making a surprise return.

During the show, The Hurt Syndicate were seen backstage and MVP talked about how they are back together and Lashley is cleared to return. MVP then talked about how they are looking to expand their group and seeking new members.

This was The Hurt Syndicate’s first appearance since this past November for Bobby Lashley due to an undisclosed injury and since this past January for Shelton Benjamin and MVP.


Hikaru Shida Makes Surprise Return

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured Hikaru Shida making a surprise return appearance.

Shida was revealed as the mystery opponent for Willow Nightingale’s Open Challenge match for the TBS Championship.

This was Shida’s first appearance in AEW since November of 2024.


Jamie Hayter vs. Thekla for AEW Women’s World Title Announced for AEW Dynasty 2026

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured the first of two new matches announced for the card of Dynasty 2026.

This new match announced was an AEW Women’s World Championship match of Jamie Hayter vs. Thekla (c).

This new match was setup following a video backstage interview segment involving Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds (Hayter & Alex Windsor). After some words by Windsor, Hayter responded talking about Windsor being the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion and her wanting to get some singles gold of her own. Hayter continued talking about how she was the AEW Women’s World Champion before and how she beat Thekla before as well. Hayter then issued a challenge to Thekla for her title at Dynasty.

Later in the show, it was announced that Thekla had accepted Hayter’s challenge and the match has been made official for Dynasty.


Alex Windsor vs. Marina Shafir Announced for AEW Dynasty 2026

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of Dynasty 2026, which takes place on April 12th at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.

This new match announced was a singles match of Alex Windsor vs. Marina Shafir. It was announced that this match will be taking place on Dynasty’s Zero Hour pre-show.

Kyle Fletcher Injury Confirmed

As noted before, Kyle Fletcher is believed to have suffered a knee-related injury at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

During tonight’s taped AEW Collision show, the Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Mark Davis, and Andrade El Idolo were seen backstage. Okada gave a pep talk to Davis and Andrade for their upcoming tag team match against The Rascalz. Okada told them this was Davis’ chance to get revenge because his best friend Fletcher is injured.

In a follow-up segment, AEW commentator Excalibur stated that the exact nature of Fletcher’s injury is currently not known.


Current Card for Next Week’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured two new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on April 8th at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In regards to the notable new matches, it was announced that Queen Aminata will be making her return from injury and will be facing off against Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship on the show.
