Backstage Update on La Catalina’s Departure From CMLL

As noted before, La Catalina departed from CMLL earlier this month due to her not renewing her contract with the company.

Bodyslam+ reported that their sources stated that the reason for La Catalina’s decision to leave CMLL was due to her being unhappy with her booking in the company after just being featured as an extra or “filler” talent recently.

This issue reportedly came after La Catalina was being prominently used last year in CMLL, especially when she went up against Mercedes Mone for the CMLL World Women’s Championship at this past June’s Fantastica Mania 2025 event.

It was reported that the current belief from some is that La Catalina is expected to join Lucha Libre AAA soon.
