WWE Claims WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Have ‘Surged’ In Recent Weeks

WWE has been dealing with sluggish and lower than expected ticket sales for this weekend’s WrestleMania 42 event on April 18-19 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. WWE has been doing several discount promotions in recent weeks in an attempt to boost the sales with most recently offering a 25% off sale for just Night 1 tickets to try to close the gap compared to Night 2’s ticket sales. WrestleMania 42’s total ticket sales were down by around 19.1% compared to last year’s WrestleMania 41 event at the same venue as of the same point last week.

The Sports Business Journal recently released an article about WWE’s softer than expected ticket sales for this year’s WrestleMania 42 event.

In the article, a quote was taken from a recent USA Today story that stated that high prices were the biggest reason why WWE has struggled to fill the Allegiant Stadium for this year’s event.

This article also included comments from a “source close to WWE” who downplayed the issue and claimed that sales are up in recent weeks and the company still expects WrestleMania 42 to be among the largest gates for a event in WWE history.

“A source close to WWE said ticket sales have surged in recent weeks and projected that the event remains headed toward one of the top gates in WWE history.”
