As noted before, current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion DOUKI announced that he was “boycotting” this year’s Best of the Super Junior tournament following his victory over Tiger Mask to retain his title at this past Wednesday’s NJPW Wrestling Hizen no Kuni 2026 event in Saga, Japan.
New Japan Pro Wrestling provided an update earlier today announcing that Dakai Nagai will be replacing DOKUI for their upcoming Best of the Super Juniors 2026 tournament, which takes place from May 14th to June 7th in Japan.
