Yota Tsuji vs. Callum Newman for IWGP Heavyweight Title Set for NJPW Dominion 2026

Wednesday’s NJPW New Japan Road in Karatsu – Ignition to Dominion event in Karatsu, Japan featured one new match set for the card of Dominion 2026, which takes place on June 14th in Osaka, Japan.

This new match set was an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match of Yota Tsuji vs. Callum Newman (c).

This new match was setup following Unbound Co’s Tsuji & Shingo Takagi defeating United Empire’s Newman & Jake Lee in a tag team match. This match had featured two stipulations with the first being if United Empire won, then Tsuji and Takagi could no longer challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight title as long as Newman was champion. The second stipulation was if either Tsuji or Takagi managed to pin Newman, then that person would be granted a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight title at next month’s Dominion 2026 event. Tsuji was the one who pinned Newman after hitting a Gene Blaster to give his team the victory and securing himself a shot at the title.
