As noted before, Beyond Wrestling recently pulled AEW World Champion MJF from their Break The Walls Down event on Friday in Cranston, Rhode Island due to him suffering a hyperextended knee injury during his match against RUSH at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Richmond, Virginia.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources confirmed that MJF’s injury is legitimate.
Meltzer reported that MJF’s knee is currently swollen but AEW’s current plans for him for this month’s Forbidden Door 2026 event are not in jeopardy at the time of his report. Meltzer reported that MJF had indicated that he is “1 million percent in doing” what is currently scheduled for him at the upcoming event.
