Alba Fyre Clarifies Her WWE Departure & Says She Was Not Released

As noted before, Alba Fyre, also known as Kay Lee Ray in the indies, was released from WWE this past April as part of a larger batch of talent releases and departures.

The Daily Star held a recent interview with Fyre. One of the topics discussed included Fyre giving her thoughts about her departure from WWE and revealed that she was not released and instead her contract was not renewed.

“For me, it happens. There seems to be a pattern with this. My contract was up, and I knew it was coming up, and I had the decision of whether I wanted to stay or not. I know some other people got fired, and they have the 90 days clause, but because of that, cause mine was just a contract ending. It means I didn’t have the 90 days and I was able to come and do this and do it as like kind of surprise, but it wasn’t really a surprise. But yeah, really glad it worked out this way.”

Cedric Alexander Comments on His NXT Run Being “I Didn’t Feel Important”

Soundsphere Magazine held a recent interview with former WWE and current TNA talent Cedric Alexander. One of the topics discussed included Alexander’s thoughts about his time in WWE’s NXT brand prior to his released in February of 2025 and how he did not feel important in NXT compared to his current tenure in TNA.

“It really is. Especially in a time when, like, I was down in NXT a while, I didn’t feel important, I didn’t feel useful. Ever since coming to TNA, I found my spot. I feel useful. There’s things for me to do. There’s ways that I can help, and grow. Not only grow myself, but grow the business. I feel like I’m doing something instead of sitting idly by and watching the world pass me by. Like I say, man, it’s something I couldn’t and wouldn’t change for the world.”

Giant USA Flag at WWE’s HQ Building Flies Away & Hits Power Line Causing Power Outages

WWE’s headquarters building in Stamford, Connecticut was involved in an incident this past weekend resulting in the building’s giant United States flag flying away and catching on fire after hitting an electrical transmission tower.

The New York Times reported that this incident was caused due to severe thunderstorm warnings in the area on Saturday night and the giant flag at WWE’s building came off its pole and flew away before hitting an electrical tower. It was reported that this caused a power outage affecting around 5,000 customers from power company Eversource in the Stamford and Greenwich area.

It was reported that power was restored to around 3,000 customers within the first 20 minuted and the rest gradually getting their power back through the night.

Electricians reportedly had trouble during the flag’s removal on Sunday when the wind shifted and caused an even larger power failure affecting 40,000 Eversource customers. The flag reportedly was removed by late Sunday afternoon and most of the power issues in the area were stated to have been restored.
