MJF & Mark Briscoe Reveals Their Teams for Steel Cage Match at Forbidden Door 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Smart Financial Centre At Sugar Land in Sugar Land, Texas featured MJF and Mark Briscoe officially revealing their teams for the 12-Man Tag Team Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026.

MJF’s team was revealed to be MJF and Don Callis Family’s Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, & Andrade El Idolo.

Briscoe’s team was revealed to be The Conglomeration (Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, & Kyle O’Reilly), Konosuke Takeshita, & Darby Allin.

The Dogs vs. Cope & Cage for AEW World Tag Titles Announced at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the first of two new matches announced for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026.

This new match is an AEW World Tag Team Championship match of The Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay) vs. Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) (c).

This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over The Dogs calling out Cage & Cope for a shot at their AEW World Tag titles and running roughshot over the AEW Tag Team division. During tonight’s show, The Dogs attempted to light a stagehand backstage before coming out for their promo only for the stagehand to take off his hoodie revealing himself to be Copeland. This led to Cage showing up and a brawl breaking out that spilled out to the stage and ring and ended with Cage & Cope sending The Dogs out of the ring. As The Dogs left through the crowd, Cage proceeded to insult the Dogs and Copeland issued a challenge to them for an AEW World Tag Team titles match at Forbidden Door 2026.

It was announced later in the show that this match was made official for Forbidden Door.

Bandido vs. Jon Moxley for AEW Continental Title Announced for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026.

This new match announced was an AEW Continental Championship match of Bandido vs. Jon Moxley (c).

This new match was setup following a backstage segment involving Bandido, Brody King, and the Death Riders’ Moxley, Daniel Garcia, & Marina Shafir.

Later in the show, it was announced that this match was made official for Forbidden Door.

Mercedes Mone Advances to 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Finals at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one Semifinal Round match in this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

This match was Mercedes Mone defeating Hazuki.

As a result of her victory, Mone will be facing off against the winner of Athena/Maya World in the Finals of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, which takes place on which takes place on June 28th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

This upcoming show will be taped on Wednesday, June 17th at the Smart Financial Centre At Sugar Land in Sugar Land, Texas.
