Tony Khan Comments on Maya World Being His Choice of Most Underrated Talent in AEW
A recent episode of Q93’s Morning Q Crew radio show featured AEW CEO Tony Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about who he considers to be the most underrated talent currently in AEW.
“Maya World has certainly taken everybody by surprise. She reached the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, where she came in as an alternate and picked up two huge wins. She’s one victory away from reaching the biggest stage in wrestling, getting a world championship match at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. She has taken so many people by surprise, but I’m not surprised. She’s a great star and has been doing great things. She has had some great upset victories, and it would be the biggest win of her career if she can beat her idol, Mercedes Mone.”

Kyle Fletcher Comments on His In-Ring Return From Injury Being “Didn’t Feel Like I Was At The Top Of My Game Yet”
Kyle Fletcher recently released a new Protolog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Fletcher’s thoughts about his recent return to the ring from a knee injury and how he didn’t feel like he was at the top of his game yet.
“This is probably the quickest we’ve done a debrief like post-show. I feel like normally it’s like into the evening. I’ve had time to decompress. This is raw. I’m still sweating. Still got my bottle of piss in my hands. That means we’re fresh. Anyway, first match in the books. I’m officially a professional wrestler again. Oh boy, and does it feel so good. It is so hot here in Houston and I already have a little bit of a cold going on from all the travel I’ve been doing. I’m out of breath. I’m sweaty. I’m out of ring shape, but I feel alive. I feel alive. Everything feels right in the world again. Just glad that first one’s out of the way. The first one’s the hardest one. Didn’t feel like I was at the top of my game yet. I gotta get those reps in first. It was very good to be back.”
Fletcher also gave his thoughts about how he had previously taken hits to the head in his matches that caused him to not remember the events of the match afterwards.
““I’ve been hit in a match, kept wrestling, got backstage and like didn’t remember the match, but like never went out. Maybe my brain is just too fucking strong. If you could create a pro wrestler in a lab, what would he look like, huh? Would he have a brain made of concrete? I think so. In my brain, I have raw, uncooked pizza dough into the shape of a brain.”
