Keith Lee AEW Abscense & In-Ring Career Future Update – Lee Believed To Be Retired From In-Ring Wrestling

As noted before, Keith Lee has been absent from AEW since December of 2023 and had underwent two surgeries for undisclosed issues in early 2024. AEW had discussed potential plans for Lee’s return to AEW programming “a number of months ago” but Lee himself has not been in attendance backstage at shows to begin the process of being cleared. Michin, also known as Mia Yim, had recently announced that her and Lee are no longer a married couple.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that his sources within the wrestling industry stated that they currently believe that Lee is done as an in-ring wrestler. Alvarez reported that those spoken to also don’t think that Lee is just done with AEW and would go elsewhere to continue his in-ring career in the future and instead he is likely retired from his in-ring career.

Alvarez reported that this is something that he has yet to 100% fully confirm for Lee’s in-ring status and career future.
