Jeff Jarrett on TNA Going From Profitability To Financial Death Spiral When Hulk Hogan Joined, Dixie Carter Begging Hulk Hogan To Stay Said Everything About Her Knowledge Of The Wrestling Industry, & Carter’s Locker Room Speech Was Only About Her Ego

Tuesday’s episode of VICE TV’s Dark Side of the Ring series featured the final episode of a three-part episode based on Jeff Jarrett and TNA Wrestling.

One of the topics discussed included former TNA co-owner Jeff Jarrett giving his thoughts about Hulk Hogan joining TNA in 2009 and how within less than a year, the company went from being profitable to being on financial death spiral.

“From the day Hulk came in, it was less than 12 months that we went from profitability to financial death spiral.”

Jarrett also gave his thoughts about Hogan’s departure from TNA in 2013 and how his final appearance being TNA President Dixie Carter latching on his leg and begging him to stay revealed everything about her knowledge of the pro wrestling industry.

“What an incredible masterpiece of a job that Hulk and Eric (Bischoff) and whoever else was involved, convinced her to do that. I would’ve never done that if I was Dixie. It said everything about her knowledge of the industry.”

Jarrett also gave his thoughts about how a speech given by Carter to the TNA locker room in 2009 about her decision to bring in Hogan was only about her ego and not her actually caring about what TNA talents felt about the situation and their careers in the company.

“It was not about anything other than her ego. You can go back and look at the faces. Talent really understood, ‘This is who we’re working for.’ A lot of them, including myself, ‘where do things go now?’”
