Stardom held a press conference earlier today in Japan featuring the announcement of Natsupoi will be retiring from her in-ring wrestling career at their New Year Dream 2027 event on January 3, 2027.
Natsupoi stated that she had made up her mind about wanting to retire at the start of next year going into her recent match against Syuri for the IWGP Women’s Championship.
Natsupoi also stated that her decision to retire from wrestling came after she had started to think about what she wanted the next chapter of her life to look like. Natsupoi also stated that while she was not able to accomplish all of the things she had hoped to do in wrestling, she had decided that it was time to step away.
Natsupoi also gave an apology to fans for her surprise retirement announcement. apologized for surprising fans with this sudden announcement.

There are about five months left, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone and give my all in my performance in the ring as a professional wrestler so that you will continue to support me until the very end. I love surprises, so you never know what will happen from now until my retirement, so I hope you will all keep your eyes on me. Thank you so much.ā
Natsupoi also stated that she is currently hopeful of having a tag team match with her husband and NJPW talent Shingo Takagi during her retirement tour.

At today's press conference, Natsupoi announced her official retirement from pro-wrestling set for January 3, 2027.

Prior to her announcement, Natsupoi has been wrestling since 2015 and has been working for Stardom since October of 2020 following a prior stint in 2016.
