Jada Stone Advances in TNA Knockouts Television Title Tournament, M By Elegance Gets Bye For Semifinal Round

Thursday’s taped TNA Impact! show on AMC and Sportsnet 360 featured two First Round matches for the TNA Knockouts Television Championship tournament.

The first match was Elayna Black vs. Wendy Choo going to a time limit draw. It was announced that due to the time limit draw, both Black and Choo were eliminated from the tournament and M By Elegance will receive a bye and advances straight into the Semifinal Round.

The second match was Jada Stone defeating Alisha Edwards.

As a result of her victory, Stone will be facing off against Jody Threat in the next round of the TNA Knockouts Television Championship tournament.

Jason Hotch Wins Vote For TNA International Title Shot

Thursday’s taped TNA Impact! show also featured Order 4’s Jason Hotch being revealed to be the next official challenger for Mustafa Ali’s TNA International Championship.

Throughout the show, Ali held a vote with all of the members of the TNA roster being eligible to cast their votes with the only rule being they couldn’t vote for themselves.

In a follow-up segment, TNA Director of Operations and “TNA Suit” Daria Rae was seen backstage with the rest of Order 4 and counted the ballots, Rae announced that Hotch was the person who got the most votes and won the shot for Ali’s title. Ali responded laughing saying this whole thing was obviously a joke. Ali then told Hotch to leave and find out what was going on.

In another follow-up segment, Hotch was seen walking towards the TNA management office before being stopped by Leon Slater who told him that he should stop listening to Ali. Slater revealed that he had voted for him and so did others in the locker room and it was his time and he should take the opportunity. After Slater left, Hotch answered a call on his phone and stated he was happy this person called him and proceeded to walk away.

In another follow-up segment, Hotch returned to where Ali and Order 4 were backstage. Ali asked Hotch if he took care of the #1 Contendership situation, which Hotch responded stating that Leon said that the vote should stand. Hotch also stated that he talked to his wife and she said he deserved this title shot. Hotch continued telling Ali that with all due respect, he’ll see Ali in the ring next week for their title match.

Thursday’s taped TNA Impact! show also featured two new matches announced for the card of next week’s live show on July 30 at The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The new match announced was:

  • TNA International Championship – Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali (c)
  • TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament Second Round match – Thea Hail vs. Indi Hartwell
