Mark Davis Comments on His AEW National Title Match Against “Speedball” Mike Bailey & Speedball Potentially Joining Don Callis Family

A recent episode of Fightful’s In The Weeds podcast featured AEW National Champion Mark Davis. One of the topics discussed included Davis’ thoughts about his AEW National title match against “Speedball” Mike Bailey at the July 11th AEW Collision show in Roanoke, Virginia. Davis also gave his thoughts about the potential of Bailey joining the Don Callis Family in the future and reuniting with “The Jet” Kevin Knight in the group.

“I mean, it doesn’t feel bad. I think sometimes maybe people can get too caught up in the swell of, I don’t know, those type of opinions and things like that. For me, it’s just always about trying to go out there and just give 100% to professional wrestling. I think Speedball Bailey, even though he’s had some issues with the Don Callis family here, he’s a little bit of a jilted ex-lover right now towards Kevin Knight. I honestly feel a little bit bad for him. It’s a little sad. He’s great wrestler. He hits really hard. He’s a fantastic opponent. A person who’s always going to bring out the best in other people. It’s just not his time. Maybe if he does a little bit of groveling, knocks on Don’s door, says sorry, asks for forgiveness, asks to step inside the family. Maybe Don would be gracious enough to give him a little bit of, a little bit of a breadcrumb, but he’s a stubborn young man, a stubborn young fella. I don’t think they’re going to step towards doing that anytime soon.”

Doc Gallows Reportedly Attended July 22 AEW TV Tapings in Nashville

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that indies talent Doc Gallows, former Luke Gallows in WWE, was seen in attendance backstage at AEW’s Dynamite and Collision tapings this past Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee.

No other details were given regarding the reason for Gallows being at the tapings beyond Johnson reporting that he has deep relationships with several people within the company including The Young Bucks, Rocky Romero, and Kazuchika Okada.
