As noted before, Monday’s WWE RAW show in Des Moines, Iowa featured a post-credits ending involving AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio approaching WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns backstage and teasing Reigns making a potential future appearance in Lucha Libre AAA.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Reigns is currently not expected to appear at the AAA x NXT Heatwave 2026 event on August 30 in Edinburg, Texas. Meltzer reported that those same sources also stated that Reigns is also currently not expected to be part of AAA’s Triplemania 34 Night 1 event on September 11 in Las Vegas Nevada either.
Meltzer speculated that Reigns could potentially be appearing at WWE’s Worlds Collide 2026 event on September 26 in Chicago due to it taking place on the same day and city as AEW’s All Out 2026 event. Meltzer reported that Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk is currently expected to work that upcoming Worlds Collide show.
