Jason Hotch, new TNA International Champion, arrives to work!

Matt Hardy vs. Ryan Nemeth

Nemeth and Hardy are meeting tonight in singles action before their brothers join them in a TNA World Tag Team Championship match at Lockdown. Jeff also has a match against Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Title, but we can’t talk about that yet because the contracts haven’t been signed.

Matt went right to the throat, choking Ryan until he fell to his knees. Matt threw some strikes, but Ryan came up swinging and the two took turns throwing each other into corners, until Matt stood on Ryans head.

Ryan exploded out of the corner, avoiding a Twist of Fate an DDT’ing Matt. Ryan hit him with a chin breaker, and then suplexed Him, but Matt stood right back up and threw hands. Ryan raked Matt’s eye across the ropes and took a second to mug for the crowd.

Ryan took Matt down with a snapmare and grabbed a headlock. Matt battled back and took Ryan down with a clothesline. Matt threw a back elbow and then a leg drop for a two count. Ryan tried to punch him, but Matt countered it into a Side Effect.

Matt dropped an elbow and called for Deletion. He went for a twist of fate, but Nic grabbed his ankle and tripped him before he could execute. Jeff, who has some paperwork for Nic, grabbed him on the outside and they brawled as Matt hit the Twist of Fate in the ring and got the pin to pick up the victory.

Winner: Matt Hardy via Pinfall.

Backstage: Xia Brookside, Elayna Black

Backstage, TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside was interviewed. Brookside said that she’s approaching tonight’s mat against Wendy Choo as she approaches everything: As a champion. Brookside said she will not allow Choo to take the Knockouts title back to NXT. Brookside mentioned Elayna Black and that made her appear. Black said that Choo is going to take Brookside’s title tonight. Brookside then left in a huff, like you do.

Backstage: Jason Hotch, BDE, Rich Swann

Back from break, Jason Hotch was hanging out in the hall with his family. He was asked what his victory means to him. Spoiler: It means everything. Hotch dedicated the win to his family and promised not to take being the champion for granted. Rich Swann and BDE stepped into frame to congratulate Hotch, then stepped back out again as the segment ended.

TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Round Match
Heather By Elegance vs. Mara Sade

Sade defeated Tasha Steelz in order to reach the Quarterfinals and Heather got one over on Allie to move forward. The winner of this match moves into the Semifinals, where they have a date with Jada Stone.

They locked up off the top with Heather grabing a waistlock. Sade flipped out of it and rolled Heather up for a two count. After running the ropes, Heather got a stomp on Sade and put her in an arm bar. Sade had about an 8 inch height difference on Heather, which was apparent when she whipped her into the ropes like a child.

Sade hit a dropkick from the top rope and then set her up for a splash(?) on the apron, but Heather got her legs up and redirected Sade into the ring post. On the outside, Heather worked Sade’s arm over, trying to take away her reach.

Back in the ring, Heather slammed Sade’s head onto the canvas. Sade bounced back though with some stomach shots. Heather wasn’t ready to give up control and tied her up, twisting her arm and shoulder around.

Heather went for some stomps and then went back to continue working Sade’s arm. She locked in a cross arm breaker, but Sade wouldn’t give up. She rolled Heather over and picked her up to dump her onto the turnbuckle. She nailed Heather with a dropkick and the two traded blows in the middle of the ring.

Sade sent Heather off the ropes for a clothesline and then splashed her in the corner. Sade landed a Monkey Flip and then laid down some punches until the Ref broke it up. She set Heather up for a powerbomb and planted her for a cover. Heather managed to kick out at two though.

They moved to the outside where Sade dropped Heather face first onto the apron (the most elegant part of the ring!). She hit a dropkick from the stairs then threw Heather back in. Sade went up top, but Heather scrambled up and pushed her off. Heather hit a missile dropkick and that was it. Heather picks up the win to advance in the tournament.

Winner: Heather By Elegance via Pinfall.

Backstage: Moose

Moose cut a promo from the back about Frankie Kazarian, reminding us all that they are still feuding. Still. Moose said that he’s dependable and will always be part of TNA. He said that Kazarian shouldn’t call himself the King of TNA because he hasn’t earned it. He then challenged Kazarian for Lockdown to see if he could earn that nickname. Perhaps we put it on a pole?

Backstage: Jason Hotch, Mustafa Ali

Back from break, Jason Hotch told his wife and daughter he’d be right back. Then they played with a dinosaur until Mustafa Ali arrived to be creepy around them. Ali reminded them that he had taken care of the whole family for a long time. He said that he wasn’t upset, he was happy for Jason. But, a little hurt because he bit the hand that fed him. He told them that he has to do what he has to do to take back the TNA International Championship. He then promised to always take care of them no matter what happend to Hotch. He then put his hand on Mrs. Hotch’s knee in the worst way possible and left. I went to go have a shower to get that scene off of me.

Brian Myers vs. KC Navarro

Last week, Myers made fun of Navarro for being sidelined by injury last year. Then the System beat him up 4-on-1 until Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa helped him out. So now, they are to going to fight about it.

The bell rang and they circled each other before locking up. Meyers tried to use is size advantage, but Navarro ducked everything and dropkicked him out of the ring. Then Bronson tripped up Navarro, getting himself ejected from ringside. Before he could leave though, Sosa came down and hit him with a chair, even though he’d already been ejected.

In the ring, Meyers tried to get the drop on NAvvarro, but only got a 619 for his trouble. Then Eddie Edwards rished the ring (presumeably past Sosa with the chair and attacked Navarro in the ring. The ref called for the DQ.

Winner: KC Navarro via Disqualification.

Fabian Aichner then ran down to even odds and such, which brought out Director of Authority Santino Marella. Marella said that enough was enough and he was sick of the System. He then did a Teddy Long impression and made this a tag team match, player! Navarro and Aichner against Meyers and Edwards.

The bell rang, again, and Aichner and Edwards fought in and out of the corners. The fight moved to the outside where Aichner and Navarro dove onto Meyers and Edwards.

Back in the ring, Navarro sent Edwards into the corner for an uppercut. Aichner tagged in and took Edwards down for a two count. Aichner set him up in the corner and punched him exactly 10 times (though the last one was more of a chop). Aichner hit a butterfly suplex and tagged in Navarro.

Aichner held Edwards, while Navarro axe-handled Edwards arm from the second rope. Navarro returned the favor and Aichner struck the other arm. He then put Edwards in an elbow teist while Navarro punched him in the stomach. Navarro and Aichner had a smooth flow to them, as if they’d been teaming for a long time.

Meyers came in a worked Navarro over, leaving him open for Alisha Edwards to grab his hair and yank. Navarro fought back and delivered a dropkick. Aichner tagged in and stomped Meyers, but Meyers sent him into the ropes where Edwards delivered a kick. Meyers went for a rollup, but no joy.

Aichner knocked Meyers around until Edwards pulled down the top rope and Aichner went spilling to the floor. Edwards threw a few chops on the outside and then threw Aichner back into the ring. He knocked Navarro off the apron and stomped Aichner, having made a tag at some point.

Meyers tagged in to cut off a tag to Navarro and he headlocked Aichner. Meyers sent Aichner into the corner, but Aichner used his momentum to hop up and nail him with a moonsault. Hot tags were made on both sides and Navarro dropkicked Edwards before hitting him with a tornado DDT for two.

Meyers shoved Navarro off the apron while Edwards worked over Aichner in the ring. Edwards went up top, but Aichner met him there for an avalanche butterfly suplex. Navarro hit a splash and went for the cover, but Edwards kicked out at two.

Aichner then turned his attention to Meyers, powerbombing him. Edwards ran in with a Boston Knee PArty and Alisha slipped Edwards a kendo stick. He nailed Navarro with it behind the ref’s back then hit a package piledriver on Navarro to get the win.

Winner: The System via Pinfall.

After the match, Ricky Sosa who you may remember from 10 minutes ago, ran in, again, with a chair, again. He chased off The System.

It switched to the Injury Report, where it was confirmed that Nic Nemeth continues to be in pristine and perfect shape.

Backstage: The Hardys, The Righteous

The Hardys were approached backstage by The Righteous. Matt and Jeff offered their hands out of respect and The Righteous added their own.

Backstage: Jason Hotch, Mustafa Ali, Order 4

Backstage, Jason Hotch confronted Mustafa Ali for beeing a big ‘ol creep to his wife. That started a screaming match between everyone in Order 4. Ali said that they will take care of this at Lockdown in a cage. Hotch quit Order 4 and told John Skyler to come with him. Skyler said he needed the job and Hotch stormed away.

In-Ring: The Righteous

After that, the Righteous snapped their way down to the ring to discuss the Lake of Reincarnation and their emergence from it. Vincent grabbed a mic and said “well, we died.” And that was it, show over.

No! He handed the mic to Dutch who said that the Lake showed them what’s next. The water reshaped the direction of the Righteous. Vincent got the mic back and said that their goal was always to get the real Hardys to emerge and now their work is finished. Vincent told the crowd that with the Righteous, no one has to feel alone.

Dutch chimed in to say that the forgotten always outnumber the celebrated. Vincent said that everyone here and at home, if the world has forgotten your name, good. Now it’s time to hear theirs. The Righteous aren’t looking for opponents, they are looking for dying flowers they can help bloom into something better. Vincent for “for we are many” and that was it.

So, the Lake of Reincarnation turned the Righteous into… the Righteous, but helpful?

Backstage: Santino Marella, Harley Hudson, Jada Stone, Alisha Edwards

Backstage, Santino Marella approached Harley Hudson who was talking to Jada Stone. Stone left and Santino said “Hey, I know that Daria Rae wants to fire you, but I really cant do anything about it.” Then Alisha Edwards ran in complaining about something that happened in the previous match? I couldn’t really tell. Stone stepped back into frame for some reason and then Hudson said she has nothing left to lose and challenged Alisha to a match. Santino spoke for us all and said “Whoa. That was crazy.”

Backstage: Allie

Back from break, Allie was searching for her tag partner Rosemary who went missing last week, leaving Allie to work a match 2-on-1. She found some tarot cards that were apparently meaningful. Then it was over.

AJ Francis vs. The Home Town Man

This riveting feud is happening because Home Town Man didn’t want to donate to a fundraising drive for Francis’ friend Expressions. Money, Money, Money.

Francis speared Home Town right off the bat and then blew his nose in Home Town’s Philadelphia Eagles shirt. That brought out Elias who strummed a chord, distracting Francis so that Home Town could roll him up for the win.

Video: Cedric Alexander, Leon Slater

Then X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander was interviewed about the statement he’s made as champion. Alexander said that he’s shown the world how good he is and the title proves it. He called himself the standard of TNA and lamented how no one ever gave him the ball to run with. So, he took it and now he’s champion. The Prime Minister of the X-Division. Then Leon Slater wandered in (does no one lock doors in TNA?).

Slater asked Alexander if he wanted to talk about how he pinned him last week and how Alexander still wont give him a shot at his Title. Alexander said that everything about Slater disgusts him. He said that Slater has been handed everything and earned nothing. Alexander said no one helped him, but Slater has a pretty smile so he had everything handed to him.

This went on for a while, Alexander saying “you were handed everything” and Slater saying “that can’t be it!” back and forth. Finally, Alexander said that Slater will never touch the X-Division title again as long as he holds it. Then he left. So, Slater sat down to think about things.

Backstage: Frankie Kazarian, Daria Rae

Back from break, Frankie Kazarian was on a pay phone (what is this, 1996?) and was approached by Daria Rae who informed him about Moose’s earlier challenge. She told him it would be big box office so he accepted. Kazarian insisted on an “Escape The Cage Match” which is somehow different than a regular cage match. Rae said ok, and then left. THEN Kazarian cut a promo about how Moose is jut a mascot and not a king like him.

Wendy Choo vs. Xia Brookside (c)

Brookside attacked Elayna Black and Choo following Choo’s First-Round TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament match about three weeks ago. They’ve finally gotten around to settling it in tonights concerningly early Main Event.

Choo started off hot, running circles around Brookside before sending her out of the ring. Choo hit a back kick from the apron and then a big boot on the floor. Choo chopped Brookside’s stomach and then threw her back into the ring for a rollup. Brookside kicked out, but Choo moved immediately to a choke hold. Brookside got her foot on the rope to break it.

Brookside sent Choo into the corner for a meteora and a cover for two. Brookside dropped some elbows and rubbed Choo’s face in the mat. Brookside came back and sent Choo to the mat for a backwards bulldog and another cover for two. Brookside locke din an abdominal stretch with Choo nowhere near the ropes.

Choo managed to roll through it, but Brookside immediately met her with a clothesline to stop the comeback. She put Choo on her shoulders, but Choo got out of it and sent her into the corner. Brookside dropkicked Choo on the charge and then went for some ground and pound.

Choo started coing back with some hard strikes and takedowns. Choo sent Brookside off the ropes for a clothesline and sent her scrambling to the corner. Choo did some handspring forearms and then hit a running neckbreaker for a two count. Choo went for a suplex, but Brookside countered it into a chinbreaker.

Brookside tried for the shoulders again, but Choo turned it into a Snooze Button slam. Brookside kicked out at two. Choo waited for Brookside to get up and tried a sleeper to put Brookside down. She started to fade, but Brookside stayed in it and managed to send Choo off the ropes and right into a Darkside to get the victory.

Winner: Xia Brookside via Pinfall to retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship.

After the match, Elayna Black appeared at the top of the ramp. She made her way down to the ring. and stared down Brookside who stared her down right back.

All right, (sigh). I don’t want to do this, you don’t want to do this, hell, THEY probably don’t want to do this, but we got 10 minutes to kill, so we gotta do this.

Let’s have a contract signing.

The signing took place in a backstage hotel conference room. Nemeth went on and on while Hardy painted on a canvas with some paint markers. Nemeth seemed incensed that Hardy had a hobby outside of wrestling and yelled at him about it. He said that he sees through Hardy. Nemeth knows that everyone thinks Hardy is great, but Nemeth is the Champ.

Hardy continued to paint which made Nemeth madder and madder. Nemeth just yelled nonsense at Hardy about how he must have a nice life and how Nemeth cant sleep wondering who might take the title from him and how Hardy could be the champion but it’s not why Nemeth is here.

Nemeth then asked Hardy to make it official so he could leave, signed the paper and then Hardy silently signed it too. He then went back to painting. Nemeth asked if that was it. He scoffed, saying that even Hardy’s signature couldn’t be normal. He then left and that was it. The show was over.

So, hurray for a contract signing that was a little different than usual! Boo for the fact that it was utterly pointless. We didn’t even see what Hardy was painting! Anyway, they are gonna fight next week so… see you then?
