As noted before, New Day’s Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston departed from WWE this past May following a mutual decision from both sides over New Day not accepting a new restructured deal offer to stay in the company. Kingston and Woods are currently going by the ring names of Kofi and Austin Creed for their post-WWE wrestling careers. AEW has been very interested in potentially signing Kofi and Creed and both have been expected to make their official debuts at this Sunday’s All In 2026 event.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Kofi and Creed are headed to AEW and will join Swerve Strickland as the “wild card” mystery team to compete in the Trios Royal Roulette match for the AEW World Trios Championship during the Buy-In pre-show for All In 2026.
It was reported that Kofi and Creed’s official deal with AEW came together in the past couple of weeks.
It was also reported that Kofi and Creed are also set to get a new team name but it is currently not known what that name would be.
