“The Butcher” Andy Williams Statue & Bench Memorial Planned for Gratwick Riverside Park In New York

As noted before, former AEW wrestler The Butcher, real name Andy Williams, passed away earlier this month following a medical emergency incident at an indie event for Enjoy Wrestling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. AEW had dedicated the September 12th episode of AEW Collision as a tribute show to him. AEW CEO Tony Khan had revealed earlier this month that Williams was in talks with AEW for potential outside of the ring projects and work prior to his passing.

Jordan Buckley, founding member of Every Time I Die metalcore band, announced on Monday on Twitter that a memorial statue and bench dedicated to Williams is currently planned for the Gratwick Riverside Park in Williams’ hometown of North Tonawanda, New York.

Buckley also announced a fundraiser to help assist with the project involving fans purchasing a brick that can be customized and engraved.
