“Speedball” Mike Bailey on Match With Ilja Dragunov and Dragunov Joining AEW & Explains Reason Why They and Andrade El Idolo Didn’t Come Out To Save Will Ospreay at 10/21 AEW Dynamite Show

“Speedball” Mike Bailey recently released a new vlog on their official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Bailey’s thoughts about their match with Ilja Dragunov for Dragunov’s official in-ring debut in AEW and belief that Dragunov is “going to do amazing” in AEW.

“I have been thinking a lot about Wednesday. Good match. You know, good times. I got exactly what I wanted, which is yet another one of the world’s best wrestlers. Finally, where the best wrestle. Shout out to Ilja. He fucking brought it. He’s going to do amazing, and I’m very excited to see where this goes in the next couple months, and as for myself, I am where I usually am, you know? I feel like great performances aren’t lost on the AEW audience, and it’s not because I don’t win a match that people don’t notice that I come close to winning, that I put on a great performance, that I go out there and give it my all with some of the world’s best wrestlers. But man, it gets tiring, you know and I am still on my quest for singles gold. Very exciting things are happening right now.”

Bailey also gave their thoughts about why they and Andrade El Idolo did not run out to save their fellow United Empire leader Will Ospreay during the Don Callis Family’s attack on him at last week’s AEW Dynamite show.

“I just saw Will, by the way, I want to apologize to Will Ospreay that I filmed the beginning of his match, and then afterwards, he was promptly surrounded by members of the Don Callis Family. Unfortunately, I was getting ready for my match. Andrade, I assume, was with a lady. Maybe not a lady, maybe with someone. Or maybe he wasn’t, I don’t know. That’s just where I assume he was. I assume that he was already on a boat somewhere with friends, taking selfies as he does. But yeah, Blood and Guts is gonna be extremely exciting, so I’m looking forward to that.”
