WWE’s Original Plans for The Vision’s Match at Crown Jewel 2026

WWE’s upcoming Crown Jewel 2026 event at The Venue (ANB Arena) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is currently scheduled to feature a WWE World Tag Team Championship match of Je’Von Evans & Penta vs. The Vision (Austin Theory & Bron Breakker) (c).

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials original plans for The Vision was for them to compete in a Six-Man Tag Team match at the event. This match reportedly would have been Evans, Penta, & Oba Femi facing off against Theory, Breakker, & “Big” Bronson Reed.

Meltzer reported that the reason why the match was changed was due to WWE officials felt that it made no sense to do the Six-Man tag team match without first doing the WWE World Tag Team Championship match.

Backstage Update on Possible Future Enzo Amore & Big Cass Reunion In WWE

As noted before, Big Cass made his official return to WWE this past August. Cass had been originally rumored to be reuniting with Enzo Amore, also known as Real1 and nZo in the indies, as part of WWE’s interest in bringing both back as a tag team at the time. WWE’s initial plans for Amore and Cass was to keep them separate instead of bringing them back as a team.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that Amore had talks with WWE in 2026. Sapp reported that Amore remains interested in a a potential return to WWE but at the moment, he has not signed a contract nor is there a confirmed plan to reunite the two.

Sapp reported that bringing Cass back first and then adding Amore later would be an unusual approach for a potential reunion due to the vice versa of it “would have made more sense.” Sapp also reported that it is currently not known if WWE officials had considered such a plan or if there even is a plan for it.
